1. Gwangmyeong Cave
Gwangmyeong Cave (formerly Siheung Mine), which began development in 1912 by Japan for the purpose of resource exploitation, is an industrial heritage site that retains traces of forced labor and exploitation during the Japanese colonial period, as well as the footprints of modernization and industrialization after liberation. After being closed in 1972 and lying dormant for 40 years as a salted shrimp storehouse, Gwangmyeong City purchased the cave in 2011 and transformed it into a historical and cultural tourist attraction. Gwangmyeong Cave is evaluated as South Korea’s best cave theme park, combining industrial heritage value with cultural value, achieving a "miracle of a closed mine" that surprises the world with over 1 million annual visitors. Starting with the Cave Arts Center, you can view artworks created through collaboration with numerous artists throughout the cave, and the light and new media set against the darkness evoke emotions beyond imagination. Furthermore, the tunnels once considered only industrial sites have transformed into Wine Caves used as spaces for communication, suggesting a new cultural lifestyle. By regenerating a closed mine into a complex cultural arts space, it is drawing attention as a creative cultural space noticed not only domestically but worldwide.

The Lotte Museum of Art was designed as an exhibition space of approximately 1,320㎡ (about 400 pyeong). Great effort was put into the space design, such as expanding the ceiling height from the existing 3m to 5m to host world-class exhibitions. Architect Cho Byung-soo was in charge of the architectural design, and through collaboration with famous overseas museums like the Mori Art Museum in Tokyo, Japan, a pleasant and professional exhibition environment was implemented even within a skyscraper. 7. Seoul Zoo
Counting from its predecessor Changgyeongwon era, Seoul Zoo has a long history of over 100 years. As South Korea's largest zoo, it possesses the largest number of species and also the largest number of species held exclusively. While the giant animals that catch the eye are impressive, the admission fee is very cheap compared to small local zoos. Furthermore, it exhibits a significant number of amphibians, reptiles, and arthropods, so most people interested in animal "species" consider Seoul Zoo the top among Korean zoos. It is also the institution exhibiting the most uniquely held species in Korea. Therefore, animals like the Western Lowland Gorilla, Cassowary, Mandrill, Pygmy Hippopotamus, New Guinea Crocodile, Malayan Sun Bear, Siamang, Sable Antelope, Scimitar-horned Oryx, Gemsbok, Savannah Monkey, Nubian Ibex, Aardvark, Striped Hyena, Six-banded Armadillo, African Buffalo, Giant Anteater, Asian Buffalo, Andean Condor, Dwarf Crocodile, Saltwater Crocodile, Bateleur, Amur Leopard, Water Deer, Greater Blue-eared Starling, Western Crowned Pigeon, Barasingha, Swan Goose, African Sacred Ibis, Cheetah, Bighorn Sheep, Short-beaked Echidna, and South American Tapir can only be seen here. 10. Hanboknam (Gyeongbokgung / Bukchon Hanok Village / Changdeokgung)
Hanboknam is Korea’s largest Hanbok rental business. Hanboknam means "the man who dresses you in Hanbok." Based on the planning of the ‘Jeonju Hanbok Day’ festival, it started Korea's first Hanbok hourly rental business. Rather than being a simple rental shop, Hanboknam is a ‘cultural planning company’ that creates a culture of enjoying wearing Hanbok. Currently, it operates several offline branches such as Gyeongbokgung, Changdeokgung, Yongin Korean Folk Village, Jeonju Hanok Village, and Busan Tower. It opened an online shopping mall in 2017 and is expanding its business with the goal that Hanbok means Hanboknam. If it is a moment when Hanbok is needed, they carry out everything from simple rentals to cultural planning.
- DSP Benefit: Includes a Standard Hanbok all-day pass. (The Bukchon Hanok Village branch allows rentals of Standard and Theme Hanboks. However, Premium Hanbok is not included in the DSP.)
- Operating Season: Open year-round.
- Operating Hours: 09:00 to 19:00 (Return must be 30 minutes before closing).
- Standard All-day Rental Fee: 30,000 KRW for Standard Hanbok (50,000 KRW for Theme Hanbok).

- Note: As of April 2026, DSP has removed information related to Hanbok Day.

14. Personal Recommendations
In the case of Gwangmyeong Cave and Aqua Planet, they are located in Gyeonggi-do, not Seoul, and furthermore, there are no other tourist attractions nearby, so I do not recommend them. Although Seoul Zoo is located in Gwacheon, not Seoul, I think it is worth using because there are other things to enjoy nearby, such as Seoul Grand Park and the racecourse. Realworld, located in Seongsu, which is currently the hottest place for Korea's young generation, is known to be easily enjoyed by foreigners as well. I recommend visiting as there are other tourist attractions around. Regarding Hanbok rental, basic Hanboks are beautiful enough, but I recommend Hanbok Town where Premium Hanboks can also be rented. I do not recommend the Airport Railroad Express (AREX). [Is the non-stop train really better than the regular train?] I highly recommend Tubester if you have a companion using the DSP together. However, please take into account that reservations are not possible and it is used on a first-come, first-served basis, so the waiting time may be long during evening hours. It is even more fantastic if you time it with the Rainbow Fountain operation. The Rainbow Fountain operates at 12:00, 19:30, 20:00, 20:30, and 21:00, and in July and August, it is operated once more at 21:30.
