Introduction
If you want to make your Seoul trip even more special, you should pay attention to "how to custom design a NAMANE card" instead of using a standard transportation card. The NAMANE card, which is as much a hot topic on Reddit and Google as the Climate Card, has become an essential souvenir among travelers because you can create a one-of-a-kind card using your own photos or images of your favorite idols. Specifically for the 2026 season, the newly released NAMANE card K-pop collaboration 2026 limited edition designs are further stimulating the desire of fans to collect them.
The overall flow of using a NAMANE card involves "Designing - Manufacturing - Registering on the app - Recharging - Using - and finally, Refunding." In this post, I will guide you through how to download the dedicated app, "sign up for an account, and register your manufactured physical card."
For those who fear their personal information might be compromised by signing up for an unfamiliar app, I have signed up first and will walk you through each step with photos.

1. Why You Should Register Your Card on the Dedicated App
Technically speaking, a NAMANE card issued from a kiosk can be topped up and used immediately without registering it on the app. However, if you have topped up a large amount of money and the card is stolen or lost, you cannot get a refund for that balance.
Furthermore, by registering it on the app, you can link your credit card in advance and recharge directly from your smartphone without the hassle of finding a kiosk. Also, as I will explain later, you can easily move funds between your Pay Balance and Transit Balance. For these reasons, I strongly recommend registering your card on the app before use.
2. How to Install the App and Sign Up for an Account

4. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q. Is it mandatory to register my NAMANE card on the app?
A. While you can use the card immediately after issuance, registering it on the app is highly recommended. It allows you to protect your balance in case of loss and enables convenient mobile recharging without finding a kiosk.
Q. How many cards can I register to one NAMANE app account?
A. You can register up to 4 physical NAMANE cards per account. This is useful for families or groups traveling together who want to manage their balances from a single smartphone.
Q. Can I register a card that is already linked to another person's ID?
A. No, a physical card can only be registered to one account at a time. If a card is already linked to another ID, you must unregister it from that account before it can be added to a new one.
